Embodiment of Service

In the Hindu pantheon, Lord Hanuman, "Son of the Wind", is the perfect servant of Lord Ram, earthly incarnation of Vishnu.

When Lord Ram's shakti-devi "Sita" is violently abducted by a demon, it is Ram's perfect devotee, Hanuman, King of the Monkey armies, who sets off across the sea to rescue her.

I am no more Hindu than Christian or Buddhist. But the goal of "service" permeates these paths, and is no better exemplified than in the "Ramayana", the Hindu tale of Ram and his eternal friend, Hanuman.

It is in the ideal of service that I will present the future contents of this blog.
